Yoga has been a part of my life for over 20 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger and become more flexible, both physically and mentally.  It has given me a foundational, continual source of peace and insight to better navigate life’s challenges and opportunities.  I completed my 200 hours Ashtanga yoga training with UpDog Yoga in Rochester, Michigan

I love to keep my classes enjoyable and uncomplicated to help you honor and deepen your individual yoga practice.  I seek to help others become more at peace. My hope is that you step off your mat feeling calm, relaxed and balanced.

I am a  student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Holistic Health.  I enjoy being outdoors hiking, bike riding, and I love getting the creative part of my brain flowing!

My journey in yoga started ten years ago when I was looking for ways to enhance my muscle recovery as an athlete.  Little did I know that the first yoga class I attended would deliver much more than just a good stretch.  After five years of consistent practicing, I decided to become a certified yoga instructor so I could shared the wonders and benefits of this beautiful practice with others.  I took a 200 hour yoga training course and fell in love with guiding yogis in their breath and movement.  I hope you'll find a calm environment in my classes, where you a re able to safely explore new poses and inversions, while bringing a focus to your breath and allowing it to guide you through fun flows.

I like to incorporate the use of blocks for modifications, intermediate transitions, and more advanced poses.  Yoga is a celebration of what our bodies can do, with that mindset, I encourage having fun playing in different poses and exploring new flows and sequences!

Hi I’m Jordan! In 2015, the practice of Yoga changed my life; I learned that I could control my breath, and therefore, have a dramatic influence over my state of being. After years of suffering from mental anguish, yoga found me! I was finishing my bachelors degree when I took my first yoga class, and after class I understood that this was the direction my life was headed. I completed my 200 hr training in 2018 under Christie Cairo at Bodhi Seed Yoga, and then in 2022 I completed my 300 hr training under Veronica Zador at the International Institute of Yoga Therapy. Since then, I have continued education and further developed a passion for yin , chair, gentle yoga as well as yoga nidra. I look forward to practicing with you!

Let me know if you need me to change anything! Thanks!

With Love,

Jordan

“The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.” - Sakyong Mipham

When I first started practicing yoga nearly 15 years ago, I was a runner and did it for the “stretch”. Over time, running was no longer an option, so I tried other workouts to stay in shape. But I always kept coming back to yoga, finally seeing benefits beyond the stretch; it was good for my body, mind AND soul.

Having lived overseas and traveled around the world, I sought out yoga classes or studios wherever I went. Jokingly I would tell my husband that when he retires, I could be teaching yoga on the beach somewhere. Because yoga is something I love, I wanted to be able to share it with others, so in December 2022 I completed my 200  hour yoga teacher training with Jennifer Schrage at Entouch Yoga, Massage, Wellness in Clinton Township.

By day, I run the Harrison Township Senior Center where I teach yoga once a week. I’ve had the privilege of teaching pop-up classes at gyms and through community events and now teaching with the Move Collaborative. I’m honored to be a part of this amazing community. ~ Namaste
